Kitron is currently looking for a PCB Quoting Engineer, who is going to join a Global Sourcing Team and be accountable to Mechanical Commodity Manager in Poland.
Job Description:
- Manage sourcing activities and supplier relationships for PCBs.
- Handle quote requests, cost analysis, and supplier negotiations.
- Use expertise in cost analysis, including labor, material, and tooling costs, to ensure cost-effective sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
- Stay ahead of market trends and proactively manage risks and opportunities.
- Analyse customer data to ensure PCB suitability for production and determine the best quoting strategy during RFQ.
- Identify potential issues or cost-saving opportunities for PCBs.
- Estimate PCB cost based on materials, labour, production methods, and other relevant factors.
- Evaluate supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and alignment with project needs.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, and quoting teams to ensure quotes align with both customer expectations and internal capabilities.
- Identify and develop new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and lead-time requirements.
- Be part of vendor development activities, including quality assessments, audits, and performance reviews.
- Drive cost negotiation processes with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing for PCBs.
- Support Quarterly Business Review (QBR) preparation and supplier performance tracking.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics, engineering, business or a related field.
- >5 years of experience in PCB, EMS or other relevant industries (Aerospace, Defence, Medical and Industrial sectors).
- Proven track record of vendor identification, development, and management in PCB sourcing.
- Hands-on experience working with PCB suppliers, including quoting, negotiations, and performance management.
- Has a solid understanding of PCB technology – including types, materials, stack-ups, and surface finishes.
- Very good understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Can analyze and break down PCB cost structures effectively.
- Brings insight into the global PCB market and supplier landscape.
- Capable of supporting audits and may take on auditing responsibilities in the future.
- Able to communicate fluently and effectively in English on a technical level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills –ability to work in cross-functional groups, preferably multi-national.
- Familiar with ERP systems like SAP, IFS, computer office skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English on a technical level.
